An evening of words and music with Kenneth Steven and Daniel Thorpe
An evening of poetry and music with Kenneth Steven, poet, novelist and award winning
broadcaster, and Daniel Thorpe, traditional fiddler and winner of BBC Scotland's
Young Traditional Musician of the Year 2010. This will be a recital of words and
music inspired by the Highlands and Islands: a fusion of Kenneth Steven's sensitive
and evocative poems interspersed with traditional and contemporary fiddle music
from Inverurie-born Daniel Thorpe. There will be a chance to meet the artists after
the recital when refreshments will be served and Kenneth will be available to sign
his books.
This event is supported by the
Scottish Book Trust and
Gordon Forum for the Arts.
